I’m Kara, an intuitive artist creating colorful abstract artwork inspired by wonder, imagination, and the hidden beauty of everyday life and nature.

My work explores the sense of curiosity and enchantment we often forget as we grow older. Through abstract forms, color, and symbolism, I create pieces that invite reflection, joy, and a deeper sense of connection.

I work intuitively, allowing each piece to unfold through presence rather than rigid planning. Creating this way reconnects me with a childlike sense of curiosity and the feeling that there is always more beneath the surface of what we see.

The Art, the Process, & the Intention

  • I create both digital and traditional artwork.

    My Goddess Series and Celestial Discovery Series are illustrated digitally on my iPad. The traditional works you see on my website are created with colored pencil on paper.

    Rather than forcing an outcome, I allow what wants to emerge to flow onto the page. This approach is a practice of self-trust, intuitive flow, and emotional presence, allowing the artwork to become a visual expression of energy rather than simply an image.

    All artworks are created entirely by me without the use of artificial intelligence.

  • While in graduate school for art therapy, something essential reawakened in me: the remembering of creating from the heart.

    Through art-making, I learned how to reconnect with myself — not to perfect the final result, but to honor the process itself. I discovered that the act of creating is just as sacred as the finished piece, and that art moves energy, supports emotional expression, and deepens inner awareness.

    Returning to intuitive creation has allowed me to regain trust, freedom, and aliveness — and that energy is now woven into everything I make.

  • My intention is to create accessible, soulful artwork that holds and amplifies sacred energy within the spaces it lives and the people it connects with. I believe art can help people remember who they are, bringing qualities like joy, magic, hope, and aliveness into a space.
